"I've followed Esther for years on Instagram as I love her vintage inspired dresses, so it was a no brainer when it came to my own wedding dress where I needed to go. From the very first email she has been so helpful and friendly. When I met her at her studio I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted but she worked with me and listened to me and had real vision. She was able to make me the most beautiful dress that I absolutely loved. Her prices are reasonable, the quality of the dress was excellent and the fit was perfect. “I first noticed Frock’s shop when my husband (then my boyfriend!) did a 180 on the road after spotting the gorgeous dresses in the shop front and knowing I would want that exact style for my 30th birthday outfit. From first meeting Esther, the care and customer service that she provided came across immediately. I loved that first dress and quickly went back for a second as soon as I had my next excuse!
My first and second experiences with Frock were so good that when it came time to choosing my wedding dress and my four bridesmaid dresses, I knew exactly who to turn to. I actually live and work in Australia now, and we were coming back to the UK for one whirlwind month to get married…nothing like a bit of added pressure! Esther was so helpful in sending me information, pictures and pricing details and from afar, we managed to come up with a plan.
Once the bridesmaid dresses were chosen, my girls were able to go into the shop for their fittings and to pick up their dresses without me even being there. I trusted their judgement and Esther’s judgement completely.
The part that really impressed me in all this was Esther’s commitment to turn my wedding dress around in 3 weeks! When we agreed on that, I thought I would be nervous, but I wasn’t. It was actually as if a weight was lifted off me and I knew I didn’t have to worry about the dress until just before the wedding.
The finished product was everything I dreamed it would be. I took my Mum with me for my first fitting. Her face as I tried the dress on was a picture. Esther even went to the trouble of doing a second fitting for me with a couple of further adjustments when I had trouble finding the right underwear! Nothing was too much trouble. The dress was perfect.
My bridesmaids and I got so many compliments on our dresses on the big day. Everything looked exactly how I imagined it would and the best thing about them was how comfortable they were and how much fun the skirts were!
Everyone tells me I was one of the most relaxed brides they know. It would have been a very different story if it hadn’t been for Esther and Frock and I will keep going back to them again and again and again. I’ve already got my next order in! Thank you guys.

"I don't know where to start. Maybe I should start by saying thank you. When we decided to plan a wedding in 4 weeks people said 'you're crazy'! Especially when we were doing it under such emotional circumstances. I always knew the kind of dress that I wanted, but the big question was would it be possible? Well it was, but only thanks to the hard work, dedication and pure talent of you lovely ladies. You helped make an emotional and difficult journey a whole lot easier with your wonderfully kind hearts and superb professional service. "What can I say-Beautiful day, my dream dress. After searching for The dress and not finding anything that was truly "me" my mum and me were advised from a shop assistant in John Lewis in the fabrics department to go to "Frock"
Now, having driven past this shop and gazing in the window at all the beautiful dresses - it had never entered my mind to enquire about getting my wedding dress from there - as I didn't know they made wedding dresses!
My wedding dress was exactly what I had been searching for! I love to dance so my dress had to be something I could move in! I love the vintage length of just over the knee, very beautiful and elegant. I was originally going to go for a strapless top and had not thought about how a halter neck with a sweetheart neckline would look. The girls at Frock made to measure the dress of my dreams. The halter neck strap went all the way around with no tie at the back and was slim, complementing my frame beautifully which I really liked! They also had in store a new fabric netting to go over the skirt of my dress - it was perfect, polka dots, hint of sparkle - perfection. My main colour scheme was blue - I had already decided I wanted an ivory wedding dress - blue shoes, but the girls at Frock suggested to have a sash with a bow - this made the dress even better than I could imagine - the fabric used for the bow was perfect and looked so pretty. Everything about my dress was the greatest and I will always keep and cherish my dress and one day will show it to my children (in the long and distant future!)
My bridesmaids also had "Frock" dresses (of course) they were the most beautiful bridesmaids! Audrey Hepburn style necklines - the exact blue to match the bow on my dress and ivory bows of their own! Again made exactly to measure - The hard working girls did an amazing job! My best friend recently told me whenever she wears it, people always say how nice she looks and my sister says she always feels great when she wears it!"

"Why I went to Frock...
My brother got married in 2012 and their maid of honor had bought her dress from Frock. As soon as I saw it I loved it, and guests were commenting how beautiful it was all day, I thought "this is a shop I need to go to!"
So, when we set a date for our wedding the first thing on my list was to visit the lovely ladies at Frock. I explained to Esther and Lydia that I didn't want a conventional wedding dress, I wanted one that was memorable, and more importantly, unique.
I'm not a dress person at all, I own one long skirt and a few tunic type dresses (which always must be worn with thick black tights or leggings) so a dress for me is kind of a big deal. Also, like a lot of ladies, I really hate my bingo wings, so wanted a bit of cover.
My favourite colour is blue and I wanted to wear the dress after the wedding. So the girls played around with material and colours against my skin tone, we discussed styles and what would suit my figure. They made me feel relaxed and I had complete confidence in their abilities. Nothing seemed too much bother and always had time to commit to me. We decided on a sweet-heart style dress in blue cotton, with an ivory over layer, finished with little daisies around the neckline and sleeves.
I went for several fittings, each one my dress was nearer to completion and I got more and more excited!
Then, the day came when I collected my beautiful, handmade, unique wedding dress. I absolutely loved it. The dress itself makes me feel confident, beautiful and proud. I felt amazing on our wedding day and it definitely had the wow factor.
Thanks to Esther and Lydia I have a dress that I love that can be worn again and again, I would recommend Frock to anybody that wants something different that fits them perfectly, I can't thank them enough for their help and commitment to make my dress exactly what I wanted it to be.
